SALTIMBANCO

One-off, 2010
A candlestick with extremely simple and basic lines that are reduced to a minimum to emphasize the vitality and expression of the object.
The body, rendered almost ethereal by the small quantity of material that composes it, makes the candle (and therefore also the light) gain in importance. It seems to float in a void in silent meditation, remaining firmly attached to its slender support, suspended in an apparently unstable equilibrium.
The metal stem with one end pointed brings to mind an allen wrench both for its shape and its function; it fixes the candle and sits in the hole in the base.
